Associate Scientist

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join the Analytical Technology group for the analysis of organosilicon, organometallic and other deposition products used in the semiconductor fabrication industry, in Carlsbad, CA. This is a hands-on role with 90% of time spent in the laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Analytical innovation and method development
• Analytical method validation for new products and transfer operating procedures to production QC laboratories
• Work closely with R&D, production, quality, and commercial teams to ensure rapid delivery of new products to customers
• Provide analytical and troubleshooting support for product quality issues
• Assist in data gathering and data analysis for Process Change Notifications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, or other STEM field with 3+ years of science or technical industrial experience
• 3+ years of experience with method development OR Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, or other STEM field

• Hands-on experience with Analytical Instrumentation
• Statistical Analysis
• Experience handling reactive chemicals
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Excellent interpersonal skills that support a diverse team environment
• Creativity and strong problem-solving skills
• A strong technical understanding of fundamental analytical chemistry
• Experience working in an industrial laboratory setting

Pay

Pay Range for this position: $31.00-$48.00 per hour.
