Position Summary
The Associate Sales Territory Manager is a hybrid commercial role designed to accelerate therapy adoption and case volume growth within an assigned territory. This individual will serve as the clinical and procedural expert in the field while simultaneously building therapy awareness, developing referral networks, and supporting account opening and contracting efforts. The role is ideal for a high-potential professional who is eager to develop a full commercial skill set across clinical support, therapy development, and territory management.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Represent ReCor Medical during uRDN procedures to ensure customer and patient success, demonstrating expertise in product use and troubleshooting techniques.
- Provide hands-on clinical case support to physicians, nurses, and cath lab staff throughout the procedural experience.
- Conduct product demonstrations, in-services, and one-on-one training sessions with physicians and hospital personnel.
- Collect and relay clinical feedback from the field to support product development, quality tracking, and continuous improvement.
- Support new program launches, including data collection and clinical site readiness activities.
- Identify and develop key referral networks for renal denervation therapy across multiple provider types, including PCPs, cardiologists, nephrologists, and other hypertension management specialists.
- Educate physicians and allied health professionals on the clinical merits, patient selection criteria, and proper clinical incorporation of the Paradise™ uRDN System through presentations, demonstrations, and educational programs.
- Analyze existing referral trends to gain insights into the local healthcare network, drive pull-through, and lead virtual and/or live engagements with customers.
- Collaborate with the Therapy Development Team to implement market development programs that improve patient access and develop reference sites.
- Evaluate patient care pathways and identify opportunities to integrate uRDN therapy into existing hypertension management protocols.
- Support the Sales Territory Manager in opening new accounts, including facility assessments, stakeholder engagement, and readiness planning.
- Build rapport and relationships with all pertinent account stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, technologists, administrators, and procurement personnel.
- Use consultative engagement techniques to identify potential growth opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
- Aid in the development of strategic territory business plans that drive product demand by aligning with the needs of key partners and their patients.
- Serve as an effective ReCor Medical representative to physicians and support staff regarding all products and therapies.
- Meet with existing and potential customers to identify their clinical needs, goals, and requirements.
- Attend and support trade shows, medical education events, symposia, and other professional gatherings.
- Monitor competitive activity, including competitor products, pricing, and market positioning, and report insights to the commercial team.
- Respond to customer needs and complaints, partnering with internal teams to resolve issues promptly.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2+ years of experience in medical device sales, clinical support, pharmaceutical sales, or a healthcare-related commercial role.
- Clinical experience in cardiovascular or interventional procedures strongly preferred.
- Existing relationships or direct knowledge of physicians and clinicians within cardiology, nephrology, primary care, or hypertension management is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and communicate complex clinical and technical information effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
- Open to travel up to 75% of the time, including overnight travel based on regional needs.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required by the business.
- Must reside within the assigned territory geography.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting clinical cases in a cath lab or interventional suite environment.
- Familiarity with hospital contracting processes, GPO agreements, or value analysis committee workflows.
- Prior experience in therapy development, market development, or building referral networks.
- Track record of exceeding performance targets in a quota-carrying or metric-driven role.
