Associate Sales Representative, Ophthalmology - Chicago, IL
Job Purpose Summary
We are seeking an Associate Sales Representative - Ophthalmology with an entrepreneurial spirit who excels in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment to join our team.
What you will do
- Drive revenue of Corza products in existing and new customers in acute and non-acute settings.
- Work with existing Territory Managers to increase sales by supporting clinical trials, cross-selling and upselling the Corza Medical portfolio, and regularly in-service current customers to ensure a healthy purchasing cycle.
- Demonstrate effective territory knowledge and partner as needed with Territory Managers and adhere to assigned administrative duties.
- Provide feedback on customers, competitors, promotional programs, and environmental changes and provide ideas to improve product and company performance in the marketplace.
- Communicate regularly with Director of Sales and provide feedback.
- Demonstrate ability to perform administrative and clinical support tasks in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with surgical and support staff.
- Drive and manage the sales cycle at all levels within targeted accounts to realize advancement of selling process on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Attend trade shows, conventions, and/or clinical meetings as needed.
- Understand and comply with applicable customer policies, HIPAA, and vendor requirements.
What you will need
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Minimum 2+ years experience. 1-2 years' operating room sales/medical device experience is required. Ophthalmology experience is a plus.
- B2B selling experience, within med device or related fields preferred.
- Proficient with CRM platform (Salesforce.com).
- Highly organized and has very effective time management skills.
- Highly customer focused.
- Excellent selling and presentation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including strong listening skills.
- Ability to effectively build and maintain positive relationships with peers and colleagues across organizational levels.
- Working knowledge of Windows, MS Office, PowerPoint as well as networks and internet applications.
- Up to 25 - 50% overnight travel domestically within territory (depending on candidate’s location within region).
- This role requires meeting the hospital credentialing requirements.

Pay and Benefits
A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this role is $140,000 - $150,000 total compensation (salary + comp plan). Further, pay is offered based on geographic location, internal equity, market data, applicant’s job-related skills, commensurate experience, required licensures, certifications, and certain degrees.
