Associate Sales Representative - Oncology - Great Lakes (Detroit, Cleveland, or Columbus)
About the role
Myriad Oncology is seeking a passionate Oncology Associate Sales Representative (ASR) to improve the lives of cancer patients. Reporting to the Oncology Area Manager, the ASR will serve as the primary contact for assigned areas and strategic accounts, including Surgeons, Oncologists, and Genetic counseling groups. The role involves handling inbound inquiries, billing, order management, and supporting Field Sales and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Customer Account Retention: Partner with strategic accounts to ensure education, positive experiences, and strong relationships through proactive contact, reviews, and goal-setting. Periodic field travel for meetings and events is required.
- Customer Account Implementation: Participate in onboarding and service implementation, ensuring smooth workflows and provider education for long-term success.
- Customer Account Optimization: Drive account growth through efficient workflows, process improvements, tailoring approaches to each account's needs and helping develop new features and services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) preferred.
- 1+ years of sales support experience preferred; preferably in biotech, healthcare, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals.
- Excellent presentation, training, coaching, and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Strong interpersonal skills: active listening, coaching, advising, problem-solving, and facilitation.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable engaging customers remotely and in person.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
- Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM systems preferred.
- Proficient in Excel preferred.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA laws and patient privacy regulations preferred.
- Flexible, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting Myriad’s policy standards.

Lifting Requirements – sedentary to light work or exerting 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical Requirements – stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, and observing. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions. OSHA category III – normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid, or tissue and as part of the employment, will not be called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.
