Associate Sales Representative, Advanced Surgery - Chicago, IL,
About the Role
As an Associate Sales Representative in Baxter’s Advanced Surgery division, you will represent our deep portfolio of surgical products, building trust and relationships with healthcare professionals who rely on our hemostats, sealing, and tissue products. You will serve as the primary connection to doctors and nurses, promoting solutions that meet their clinical and economic needs while enabling surgical teams to innovate in the operating room. This role requires personal accountability for achieving results and the ability to "win" at each stage of the customer's buying process.
Responsibilities
- Understand all products, surgical specialties, and devices within the portfolio.
- Cover cases with existing surgeons and communicate outcomes, changes, and opportunities to the Region Manager (RM), Territory Business Manager (TBM), and Strategic Account Manager (SAM).
- Maintain and troubleshoot in-place equipment and conduct education in-services for Baxter regulators and spray equipment.
- Build and maintain new and existing client relationships.
- Ensure on-label usage of Baxter products through presence in the surgical suite and in-servicing.
- Understand the industry and marketplace, including competition, and strategically apply this knowledge to achieve business goals.
- Work with RM, TBM, and SAM to develop a plan to reach financial goals and quotas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience OR 4+ years of relevant sales or operating room environment experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and social skills.
- At least 50% travel is required; may involve visits to remote or urban areas either individually or with other personnel.
- Must live within the assigned geographic territory or be willing to relocate to it. Familiarity with the posted territory is strongly desired.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.

Pay
The estimated base pay range for this position is $66,400 - $91,000 annually, with additional opportunity to earn sales incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding goals. Individual pay is based on location, skills, expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
