Associate Sales Engineer, Application Security

About the role

As Associate Sales Engineer, AppSec you’ll drive business development and sales growth by providing technical expertise on the value of our Application Security products. The role will include defining customer needs and applying technical knowledge to develop solutions that support sales goals.

What you will do

• Bring your AppSec technical expertise to quickly start positioning our AppSec solutions with customer prospects.
• Expand your knowledge into other areas of the Digital.ai product suite.
• Lead as a domain expert in the value of Digital.ai products, acting as the technical lead on strategic client relationships across industry verticals.
• Lead sales engineering activities including technical discovery and qualification, technical value proposition, architectural guidance, sales campaign support and maintaining client relationships.
• Ability to provide expert guidance on application security concepts with strong skill sets in techniques used in secure application design.
• Establish and maintain an understanding of the overall Digital.ai technology portfolio and the competitive landscape.
• Help sell and foster ongoing customer success.
• Work closely with key client decision makers on demos and proof of values to ensure the product or solution meets the client objectives.
• Build strong partnerships with the account executives.
• Occasionally travel domestically.

What you will bring

• 2+ years Technical or Sales Engineering experience in the application security domain
• A strong understanding of application security concepts such as reverse engineering, code obfuscation, anti-tampering and anti-debugging techniques, RASP, OWASP, and how security tooling plugs into the SDLC without interrupting release cycles.
• Experience developing Android (Java/Kotlin) and/or iOS (Swift/Objective-C) applications or securing mobile applications.
• An interest in ongoing learning with a curious attitude.
• A Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent (preferred).
• A deep understanding of computer technology, such as how applications are compiled and linked.
• Experience developing in Python and/or Java.

Benefits

• Estimated base salary range: $70,000 - $80,000
• Annual commission target
