Job Summary
The Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology and Diabetes has an opening position of Associate Research Scientist for candidates with M.D. and/or Ph.D. degree.
Responsibilities
- Participate in preparation of manuscripts
- Presentation of work at national/international meetings
- Grant submissions
- Focus on understanding the role of nitric oxide and chemokines in the progression of prostate cancer bone metastasis, using in vitro and in vivo models
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or Ph.D. required
- Strong self motivation
- Solid basic science training background
- Experience with hypothesis-driven research
- Good written and oral scientific communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a multidisciplinary team-oriented environment
- Record of peer-reviewed publications in relevant scientific journals
Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of adrenal gland biology, adrenal pathology, steroidogenesis, and cell differentiation/proliferation would be highly desirable
