Associate Relationship Banker - Laurelwood and Beaverton Branch - Portland, OR

As an Associate Relationship Banker in a Chase Branch, you will represent our brand and culture with the utmost hospitality, using the latest banking solutions and cutting-edge financial technology combined with friendly and attentive service. You will welcome and assist clients that walk into our branches using your financial knowledge to offer thoughtful solutions to help address their financial needs and make their lives easier, contributing to the success of the branch.
Responsibilities
- Put clients first and exceed their expectations by delivering attentive and friendly service, creating a welcoming environment.
- Engage in clear, polite, consultative communication to help clients and build trust—ask questions and listen to understand, anticipate their needs.
- Assist walk-in and scheduled clients, both in person and over the phone, to build lasting relationships, understand financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
- Educate and connect clients to technology solutions such as the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs to help them with their banking needs whenever, wherever, and however they want.
- Learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to effectively consult with clients about banking solutions, as well as collaborate with and connect them to our team of experts to help with specialized financial needs.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
Requirements
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
- Ability to work branch hours including weekends and some evenings.
- Ability to create memorable experiences for our clients—elevate the client experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone, with proven ability to tailor features and benefits of products and services to clients with differing needs.
- Ability to quickly and effectively resolve client issues with attention to detail—providing consistent client experience.
- Operate within established risk parameters/tolerances and meet internal/external risk and compliance obligations, including completion of required training.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of sales experience in Retail, Financial Services, or other related industries with proven success in establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
- College degree or military equivalent.
- Experience adhering to banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Additional Information
This position is subject to the Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. An employment offer is contingent on JPMC's review of your criminal conviction history, credit report, information available through NMLS, and any other relevant information. Any felony conviction within the last seven years will disqualify you from consideration. Continued employment is contingent upon compliance with Truth in Lending Act/Dodd Frank Loan Originator requirements.
This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Upon active employment, you will be required to either register on NMLS or update your existing registration to reflect your employment with JPMorgan Chase. Compliance with the SAFE Act, including successful registration immediately after your start date and timely completion of annual renewal, is mandatory.
