Summary
Represent the regional office in carrying out the regional function to ensure good Young Life ministry in that region. Know and uphold all Young Life policies and procedures.
Ministry Functions
- Spiritual Development– “Following Jesus.” Includes: Prayer and spiritual disciplines, fellowship, growth and health and church relationships
- Leadership Development – “Equipping leaders, committee and staff.” Includes: Key volunteer care, recruiting, teambuilding and training, supervision and vision casting
- Resource Development– “Fueling the ministry.” Includes events, major donor care, public relations (branding) and TDS team
- Direct Ministry– “Proclaiming and discipling.” Includes contact work, club, campaigners and camp
- Ministry Support – “Taking care of business.” Accounting, administration, communication (internal), data management and strategic plan
Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- Completion of Core Training — Phase One
- Ability to supervise at a distance
- Proven spiritual leader
- Proven leadership in developing diverse staff and ministries
- Proven relational skills with both kids and adults
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Potential and capacity to function as a regional director
Job Specific Working Conditions
- The Southcoast is a strong region with significant opportunity for expanded impact.
- This person will be a direct extension of the regional directors leadership, will spend most of their time supporting local ministries, and will own several things in the region such as health and growth of multiple metro and typical areas.
- Partnership enabling our Regional Leadership Team
- Partnership with RD and Development Director to identify new regional donors and board members
- Volunteer recruitment initiatives to help cultivate a volunteer movement
- Ownership of a couple annual events/experiences (EX: staff retreat, weekend camps, leader and committee summit, etc.)
