Associate - Real Estate (Columbus)

About the role

Taft is looking for a team-oriented associate to join our Real Estate group in the Columbus office. Taft is seeking an associate with at least four years of transactional experience to join our Real Estate practice group. The ideal candidate will have experience in acquisition, disposition, financing and commercial leasing.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of real estate transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and commercial leasing
• Assist in due diligence and negotiation of real estate transactions
• Prepare and review legal documents related to real estate transactions
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on real estate matters
• Collaborate with other departments within the firm to ensure seamless client service

Requirements

• At least four years of transactional experience in real estate law
• Experience in acquisition, disposition, financing, and commercial leasing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in Ohio
• Member of the American Bar Association

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of real estate laws and regulations
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail
