About the role

Boeing Global Services (BGS), Distribution Business, is looking for an Associate Quality Inspector to join our team in Enfield, CT.

Responsibilities

• Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements
• Provides objective evidence of results
• Segregates and controls non-conforming items
• Performs preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance
• Under limited supervision, inspects incoming parts/material, outgoing orders to verify that certification is correct, checks parts for processing, checks special orders, and uses micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, indicators, etc. daily
• Provides mentorship throughout the Inspection team
• Conducts dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels
• Conducts visual inspections for obvious defects
• Reviews and dispositions all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards; communicates with vendor as needed
• Dispositions and controls non-conforming products

Requirements

• 2+ years’ related work experience using calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator
• 2+ years’ experience in QA inspection methods and procedures reading and interpreting drawings or blueprints
• Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel)
• This role requires passing a documented color and near vision exam
• To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required (“U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous aerospace inspection experience
• Knowledge of AS9100 requirements
• Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities

Pay

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $41,000.00 - $58,000.00

This position is for 1st shift.
