Associate Quality Analyst / Quality Analyst
This position is located at Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics sector in Palmdale, CA. The role is contingent on program funding; start dates will be determined after funding confirmation.
About the role
Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Quality Analyst or Quality Analyst to join the Mission Assurance organization. The selected candidate will support the team by developing and implementing program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control, lean manufacturing concepts, and Six Sigma tools. The role ensures performance and product quality conform to established company and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control, lean manufacturing concepts, and Six Sigma analyses.
- Ensure performance and quality of products conform to established company and regulatory standards.
- Review, analyze, and report on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems.
- Investigate problems and develop dispositions and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
- Interface with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
- Recommend corrective actions, dispositions, and modifications.
- Travel up to 10% of the time.
Requirements
This requisition may be filled at either the Associate Quality Analyst (A01) or Quality Analyst (A02) level. Shift options include 4/10 (days or nights) or 3/10 (days), determined during pre-interview coordination.
Qualifications
- Associate Quality Analyst (A01):
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field from an accredited institution with 0 years of experience.
- Quality Analyst (A02):
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field from an accredited institution with 2 years of experience, or
- Master’s degree in a business-related field from an accredited institution with 0 years of experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (Secret) and Program Special Access (U.S. citizenship is required). Final approval may be required to start.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship, co-op, or work experience.
- Leadership and teamwork capabilities, strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience presenting and interacting with customers (e.g., DCMA, military customers, foreign nationals).
- Experience with MES, SAP, PROP, and CPATS systems.
- Familiarity with Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) and First Article Inspection (FAI).
Pay
- Associate Quality Analyst (A01): $63,000 – $94,600 per year.
- Quality Analyst (A02): $75,800 – $113,800 per year.
Base salary offers consider factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
