Responsibilities
- Partner with the SVP, Group Publisher on the daily operations and strategic priorities of the HarperCollins Children’s Books division.
- Collaborate with Editorial and Design leadership to support publishing programs and divisional initiatives.
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships with Sales, Marketing, and Publicity teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of key objectives.
- Lead and coordinate projects across multiple stakeholders, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and business goals are achieved.
- Work closely with General Books colleagues on cross-divisional opportunities, initiatives, and publishing programs.
- Participate in supply chain planning, inventory management, and title performance discussions to support business objectives.
- Analyze business needs and recommend operational improvements that drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Serve as a key liaison across departments, facilitating communication, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Support the development and execution of divisional strategies that contribute to revenue growth, market presence, and publishing success.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in publishing, sales operations, or a related field; experience in children’s publishing strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and managing complex projects from concept through execution.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance creative, operational, and commercial priorities.
- Experience collaborating with editorial, sales, marketing, publicity, and supply chain teams.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A collaborative leadership style with a team-oriented mindset and a commitment to fostering strong partnerships.
- Passion for children’s books and enthusiasm for the publishing industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed, data-driven decisions.
