Red Hat's Core Platforms Engineering team is looking for an experienced Scrum Master to help transform the organization. You will educate and run ceremonies for multiple Scrum teams, working with some of the brightest engineers in the open source community. Focus areas include teams building the RHEL Identity Management or Red Hat Certificate System products. Collaborate closely with product engineering and a vibrant team of Agile Practitioners to support Core Platforms' Agile Transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Form and facilitate multiple Scrum Teams, guiding them through the four stages of team development.
  • Create an environment of co-delivery and shared responsibility across Dev, QE, Docs, and PM organizations.
  • Work with other Agile Practitioners to support Core Platforms' Agile Transformation, including providing training and publishing documentation.
  • Help teams understand and apply skills such as relative estimations and continuous improvement.
  • Focus on respectful adoption of agility by identifying and resolving existing challenges.
  • Guide teams toward self-sufficiency in Scrum practices.
  • Improve channels of communication within and across teams.

Requirements

  • Agile project management skills, evidenced by industry experience or recent certification (e.g., PMI-ACP, PMI-PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or equivalent).
  • Strong background in Scrum.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication, mentoring, coaching, collaboration, negotiation, and team building.
  • Sufficient technical background to provide credible leadership with development teams and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering software products to production and coaching teams at varying maturity levels.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to focus on details while maintaining a big-picture view.
  • Data-driven analysis skills for measuring the health of strategy-to-delivery.
  • Experience with Jira.
  • Ability to work without visa sponsorship (Red Hat will not provide visa sponsorship for this position).

Nice to Have

  • Understanding and appreciation of Open Source software development.
  • Knowledge of Red Hat products, Linux, LDAP, Active Directory, or Identity Management.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $86,090.00 - $137,670.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity.
