About the Role
As an Associate Project Manager, you will support the planning, execution, and delivery of projects related to physical security technology. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The role will require 25%+ travel. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in project management within a fast-paced technology environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and coordinating project activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Support project managers in developing project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Coordinate communication between project teams and local business operation leaders, ensuring all parties are informed and aligned.
- Conduct project risk assessments and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including reports, meeting notes, and presentations.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
- Maintain project management tools and systems to track project milestones and deliverables.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure successful implementation of security solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, in a related field or an additional 4 years of work experience in quantitative or business fields.
- 1+ years of experience in project management or a related role, preferably in the technology or security industry.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Project Schedule Management via Gantt Chart, Budget management, Cost Performance management) is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Smartsheets, Jira, Asana, Salesforce).
- Basic understanding of physical security technologies (e.g., Axis, Genetec, Mercury, Aiphone, Von Duprin, HID).
- Security Platform Certifications are a plus (e.g., Genetec, Axis, Software House, OpenPath).
- Familiarity with physical security technology systems (e.g., video surveillance, electronic access control, electronic door hardware, intrusion detection, intercom).
Pay
The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado, is $74,800—$110,000 USD.

For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g., about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g., about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
