About the Role
The candidate will be a member of the IDT Group (Infrastructure, Digital and Telecom), a New York-based team dedicated to infrastructure and digital infrastructure financing, advisory, and debt arranging across the Americas in the following sectors:
- Transport (Roads, Bridges, Airports, Rail, Seaports, Car Park, EV charging)
- Social Infrastructure (University Energy Systems)
- Water and waste management
- Digital Infrastructure (Broadband/Fiber/Data Center, Digital Technology)
- Telecom
Responsibilities
Transaction Execution and Due Diligence
- Provide support in the execution of lending and advisory mandates for financial sponsors, infrastructure funds, and corporate clients in the infrastructure, digital, and telecommunication sectors.
- Assist the deal team in financial modeling for financing or advisory mandates, including running sensitivities and developing PF models to support underwriting or advisory mandates.
- Support the deal team in all aspects of financing, including due diligence, internal profitability calculation, credit analysis, and drafting of the credit application and approval process.
- Assist with due diligence, including accurate screening and analysis of publicly available information, data room materials, and third-party reports.
- Support the advisory or syndication process, including drafting materials for lenders and ratings agencies and interacting with them.
Marketing
- Develop and maintain marketing materials promoting Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (project finance and structured finance).
- Support the development and delivery of pitches to financial sponsors and corporate clients for specific transactions.
- Assist senior team members in creating marketing presentations to position the bank, identify and generate new revenue opportunities, and secure new financing or advisory mandates.
Compliance and Closing Process
- Ensure adherence to all KYC, compliance procedures, and checklists.
- For transaction closings, ensure administrative instructions are properly communicated, documented, and disseminated, and funds flows are accurately completed.
Training
- Assist with the training and development of Analysts to become competent and productive deal team members.
- Contribute to and promote a positive working environment; act as an advocate for the bank and a positive role model.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in project finance, investment banking, or related fields.
- Strong due diligence and financial modeling experience.
- Previous experience in project finance is appreciated.
- Knowledge of corporate finance valuation and financial accounting concepts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated work ethic, positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Series 7/79 and Series 63 certifications and formal credit training are a plus.
