About the role
- Deliver core lectures in Physical Chemistry for Pharmaceutical Sciences, Thermodynamics and Kinetics in Drug Formulation, and Introduction to Computational Methods in Pharmacy.
- Lead specialized courses in Molecular Modelling and Chemoinformatics, Quantum Chemistry (DFT/ab initio) applied to Drug-Target Interactions, and Molecular Dynamics (MD) Simulations of Biological Macromolecules.
- Instruct students in Structure-Based Drug Design (SBDD), Ligand-Based Pharmacophore Modelling, Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship (QSAR), and ADMET (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Excretion, and Toxicity) prediction using in-silico tools.
- Build a vigorous research group focusing on computational strategies for modern drug discovery, such as virtual screening of compound libraries, free-energy perturbation (FEP), or cryo-EM/structural biology data integration.
- Actively identify, prepare, and submit grant proposals to national and international funding agencies to secure sustainable research funding for personnel, equipment.
- Publish original, peer-reviewed research articles in QI/Q2 journals.
- Directly supervise Ph.D. candidates, post-doctoral fellows, and &laster's students in their research projects, ensuring rigorous experimental design and ethical compliance.
- Remain current with emerging computational techniques, software packages (Schrödinger, OpenEye, GROMACS, AMBER, AutoDock), and programming libraries.
- Attend and present at major international conferences to maintain professional networks.
- Any other lab related duty assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements
