About the Role
The University of Louisville School of Medicine Division of Pediatric Cardiology is recruiting a board certified/eligible pediatric electrophysiologist. The successful applicant will join pediatric cardiologists providing services including interventional catheterization, heart failure/transplantation, adult congenital heart disease, fetal cardiology, telemedicine, and advanced cardiac imaging. Referrals to the EP service also come from multiple other local and outreach pediatric and adult cardiologists.
Inpatient work is primarily performed in Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, the only free-standing children’s hospital in Kentucky and the teaching hospital for the Department of Pediatrics, University of Louisville. Outpatient clinics are in the new Novak Center for Children’s Health.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient and outpatient care as a non-invasive pediatric electrophysiologist
- Interpret telemetry, EKGs, Holter monitors, and event recorders
- Manage care for patients with pacemakers, defibrillators, and insertable loop recorders
- Oversee patients undergoing exercise stress testing
- Participate in some general pediatric cardiology service
- Engage in clinical, translational, and basic science research opportunities

- Board certified/eligible in pediatric electrophysiology
