Associate Professor (Management Science)

About the role

Full-time academic position responsible for teaching, research, curriculum development, grant writing, and community engagement at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform lecturing duties at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects
• Supervise and mentor junior staff members
• Teach three or more management subjects, including:
  • Principles of Management
  • Advanced Studies in Entrepreneurship and Project Management
  • Business Processes
  • Philosophy & Ethics
• Engage in research and publication activities
• Design graduate and undergraduate curricula
• Assist in research grant writing and sourcing
• Participate in community engagement activities
• Offer services to the university and wider community

Requirements

• Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline
• Expertise in project management, procurement, and supply chain management (an added advantage)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Senior Lecturer, demonstrating ability to:
  • Secure research grants
  • Lead academic teams
  • Deliver excellent teaching
  • Engage with the community
• At least 17 Scopus-indexed scholarly publications and/or DHET accreditation
• Excellent communication, writing, logical reasoning, and collegial skills
