About the role
Full-time academic position responsible for teaching, research, curriculum development, grant writing, and community engagement at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Responsibilities
- Perform lecturing duties at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members
- Teach three or more management subjects, including:
- Principles of Management
- Advanced Studies in Entrepreneurship and Project Management
- Business Processes
- Philosophy & Ethics
- Engage in research and publication activities
- Design graduate and undergraduate curricula
- Assist in research grant writing and sourcing
- Participate in community engagement activities
- Offer services to the university and wider community
Requirements
- Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline
- Expertise in project management, procurement, and supply chain management (an added advantage)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Senior Lecturer, demonstrating ability to:
- Secure research grants
- Lead academic teams
- Deliver excellent teaching
- Engage with the community
- At least 17 Scopus-indexed scholarly publications and/or DHET accreditation
- Excellent communication, writing, logical reasoning, and collegial skills
