About the role
The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track.
Responsibilities
- Expertise in the specific area of ADHD, borderline personality disorder, and other externalizing conditions in adults.
- Teaching responsibilities may include didactic and clinical teaching of psychiatry residents, child/adolescent psychiatry fellows, and psychology interns and post-doctoral trainees, with a focus on the evaluation and treatment of ADHD and borderline personality disorder across the lifespan.
- Clinical responsibilities may include neuropsychological evaluation and psychotherapeutic treatment of patients with externalizing pathology, especially those with overlapping symptoms of ADHD and personality disorders.
- Research or scholarship responsibilities may include translational research in the etiology, development and treatment of impulsive behavior, suicidal behavior, and affective instability across the lifespan.
Requirements
- An M.D., Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
Qualifications
- Expertise in the specific area of ADHD, borderline personality disorder, and other externalizing conditions in adults.
- Ability to teach psychiatry residents, child/adolescent psychiatry fellows, and psychology interns and post-doctoral trainees.
- Experience in neuropsychological evaluation and psychotherapeutic treatment of patients with externalizing pathology.
- Experience in translational research in the etiology, development and treatment of impulsive behavior, suicidal behavior, and affective instability.
