Associate Professor Faculty Position, Academic Clinician Track - Division of Sleep Medicine

About the role

The Division of Sleep Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track.

Responsibilities

• Expertise in the specific area of pulmonary medicine.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Sleep Medicine.
• Teaching responsibilities may include training residents and fellows, precepting medical students, and other trainees in the field of Sleep Medicine.
• Academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching.
• Performing comprehensive evaluations and management of patients with sleep disorders.
• Interpreting polysomnograms, multiple sleep latency tests, and home sleep apnea tests.
• Attending in the sleep disorders clinic and sleep telemedicine program.
• Providing management and/or leadership.

Requirements

• M.D. degree.

Qualifications

• Expertise in the specific area of pulmonary medicine.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Sleep Medicine.
• Ability to teach and mentor residents, fellows, medical students, and other trainees.
• Experience in managing and interpreting sleep disorders.
• Ability to provide clinical care in the sleep division of the Hospital University of Pennsylvania and Pennsylvania Hospital.
• Leadership and management skills.

Skills
