Associate Professor Clinical Practice - Pediatric Endocrinology

Essential Job Functions

This full-time academic role combines clinical care, teaching and research within a collaborative health system. The successful candidate will:

  • Join a multidisciplinary team to support the institutional clinical, educational and research missions.
  • Provide comprehensive pediatric endocrinology care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Lead the development of a clinical and/or basic research program within the Division of Endocrinology.

Minimum Qualifications

  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an LCME or COCA accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship.
  • Board Certification in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology.
  • Ability to obtain an unrestricted State of Texas Physician License.
  • Current U.S. DEA Practitioner registration.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient care and medical education.
  • Demonstrated clinical and/or basic science research productivity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three or more years of post-fellowship clinical experience in Pediatric Endocrinology.
  • Prior academic experience in resident and medical student education.
  • Current transferable funded research.

Salary

Salary Commensurate with experience.
