Associate Printer
About this role
Optum Insight is improving the flow of health data and information to create a more connected system. We remove friction and drive alignment between care providers and payers, and ultimately consumers. Our deep expertise in the industry and innovative technology empower us to help organizations reduce costs while improving risk management, quality and revenue growth.
This position is onsite at 13209 Corporate Exchange Drive, Bridgeton, Missouri 63044.
The current team member operates a high-volume production inserter that is critical to our daily output. This machine is designed to be run by a single operator and is responsible for producing approximately 150,000 physically inserted pages per day. This role is highly specialized and cannot be automated or absorbed by other team members without compromising production efficiency, quality, or compliance.
With the upcoming addition of VPAY, our facility is projected to experience a 25% increase in volume. This surge will directly impact the inserter workload, pushing our current capacity beyond sustainable limits. The nature of the inserter operation requires constant attention, precision, and manual intervention, making it infeasible to redistribute this workload among existing staff or rely on AI or automation to fill the gap.
Responsibilities
Associate Printer ensures that all documents are inserted accurately and in compliance with strict HIPAA guidelines, as we handle Protected Health Information (PHI). Key responsibilities include:
- Divert Handling: Properly manage diverted mail to prevent errors.
- Double Checks: Perform secondary verification to confirm accuracy.
- Quality Checks: Inspect for completeness and correctness throughout the process.
- Insert Verification: Confirm that each document is inserted into the correct envelope before sealing.
You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
