Responsibilities

  • Support and collaborate with business analysts, team leads, and development team.
  • Develop scalable and resilient hybrid and cloud‑based data solutions for critical financial market clearing and risk activities; work with developers, architects, and product owners on enterprise data‑driven transformation.
  • Analyze requirements, develop, test, and document software to ensure proper implementation.
  • Architect and maintain a Java/Cucumber BDD automation framework with three‑tier memory management (local, feature, global) and a Jenkins wrapper job to run the full Cucumber test suite.
  • Design and develop highly concurrent, multi‑threaded distributed Java applications integrating Apache Kafka and JMS for high‑throughput, low‑latency data pipelines.
  • Build and manage end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes, automating build, test, and release processes at scale.
  • Implement Hibernate Level 1 & Level 2 caching with JPA/JDBC; author complex SQL and PL/SQL queries across Oracle, MySQL, and DB2 for optimized data access.
  • Follow SDLC procedures to ensure all information system products and services meet standards.
  • Perform application and project risk analysis and recommend quality improvements.
  • Assist Production Support with system functionality advice and fixes.
  • Communicate delays or defects promptly to team members and management.

Up to 40 % telecommuting permitted.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as a software engineer, software developer, or related role.

Special Skills

  • Architect and maintain a Java/Cucumber BDD automation framework with three‑tier memory management and Jenkins orchestration.
  • Design and develop highly concurrent, multi‑threaded distributed Java applications using Apache Kafka and JMS messaging.
  • Build and manage end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Implement Hibernate Level 1 & Level 2 caching with JPA/JDBC; write complex SQL and PL/SQL for Oracle, MySQL, and DB2.

Pay

Salary range: $160,285 – $188,100 (exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses). Final compensation is based on skills, experience, education, and internal equity considerations.
