About the role

C.H. Robinson is hiring an Associate Portfolio Executive to build and manage a customer portfolio while developing long-term, trusted relationships. In this role, you will leverage AI-powered tools to simplify quoting, planning, and scheduling—so you can focus on selling, problem-solving, and growing revenue. You will operate with autonomy while being backed by the scale, technology, and credibility of a global supply chain leader.

Responsibilities

  • Build and grow a portfolio of customers, strengthening relationships and uncovering needs to convert opportunities into active business.
  • Re-engage dormant accounts and expand within existing customers to increase volume, revenue, and wallet share.
  • Own day-to-day customer interactions by responding quickly to questions, managing exceptions and escalations, and resolving conflict professionally.
  • Cook up and coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal partners to meet customer commitments and service expectations.
  • Quote and price freight, applying negotiation skills, market insight, and customer buying patterns to execute pricing strategy.
  • Plan, build, and execute shipments (with AI agent support) aligned to customer expectations.
  • Identify account growth potential and cultivate transactional relationships into more committed, repeatable partnerships supported by business development resources.
  • Use data, reporting, and market/customer updates to uncover service and growth opportunities and inform daily priorities.
  • Improve how work gets done by adopting new tools/technology, identifying automation opportunities, and helping document and follow SOPs.
  • Operate with urgency and a team-first mindset by supporting teammates’ customers when needed and contributing in daily/weekly stand-ups.

Required Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 6 months Customer Engagement Experience internal or external.

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • An Attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated negotiation, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • A proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Programs.
