Associate Planner

The Town of Carefree is currently seeking an Associate Planner. Under the direction of the Community Development Director, the Associate Planner supports current and long-range planning, development review, permitting, zoning, and community development initiatives. This position reviews applications and permits for compliance with Town regulations, assists residents and applicants with planning questions, prepares staff reports, conducts site inspections, and supports public meetings and outreach efforts. Minimum qualifications to be considered include: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Urban and Regional Planning, Public Administration, Geography, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Science, or a closely related field.Three (3) years of professional planning, zoning, development review, permitting, GIS, community development, or related experience.
