Associate Planner

Under the direction of the Community Development Director, the Associate Planner supports current and long-range planning, development review, permitting, zoning, and community development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Reviews applications and permits for compliance with Town regulations
• Assists residents and applicants with planning questions
• Prepares staff reports
• Conducts site inspections
• Supports public meetings and outreach efforts

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Urban and Regional Planning, Public Administration, Geography, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Science, or a closely related field
• Three (3) years of professional planning, zoning, development review, permitting, GIS, community development, or related experience
