Job Description

The Role
Associate Photographers are the talented and versatile team responsible for the media collection for Homes.com and Apartments.com. They create virtual tours, floorplans, and photography for residential homes using a Pro 3 Matterport, digital camera equipment, and iPads. Each Associate Photographer is assigned a core territory to service clients of Homes.com and Apartments.com, setting appointments for defined dates and times to scan homes and apartments with Matterport Pro3 cameras and capture virtual tours and floor plans. They also handle residential photography for marketing purposes. This role collaborates closely with clients, sales associates, logistics, and the management team. Photographers are managed remotely by a Photography Manager in local markets.

Responsibilities

  • Support marketing efforts on Homes.com and Apartments.com by capturing beautiful 3-D virtual tours and floor plans.
  • Create a portfolio of photographs to best feature homes and apartments, utilizing photography techniques to capture the spaces in the most pleasing way possible.
  • Work closely with scheduling and dispatch teams to maximize appointments and meet client demands.
  • Professionally communicate with clients, sales associates, researcher partners, and management to strategically evaluate priorities, initiatives, and tasks.
  • Own the market! Navigate one-mile square grids to ensure complete commercial real estate data coverage, identifying new inventory, missing availability, and commercial properties to be photographed.
  • Abide by CoStar safety standards to safeguard company vehicle and equipment.
  • Represent CoStar in a professional manner at all times.
  • Participate in conference calls with sales and research teams as needed.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in real estate photography.
  • Experience working as a professional photographer or recently earned a degree in photography.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Strong customer service experience with a client-first mindset.
  • Experience as an experienced Drone Photographer with a FAA Part 107 License/Certification obtained within 30 days of offer.
  • Strong time management skills and very detailed-oriented.
  • Capability to accurately capture and enter data.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and Internet applications.
  • Apple IOS products.
  • Enjoy working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Field experience preferred.
  • Current and valid driver’s license.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Driving Abstract check prior to start.

Physical Requirements

  • Repetitive and frequent sitting in a car, standing, and walking for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 5 pounds.
  • Repetitive hand and arm movements to type on a tablet or laptop and operate camera equipment.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, twisting, and carrying necessary to perform job functions.
  • Able to work and drive outside during all seasons.
  • The ability to work weekends on a rotating schedule.

Compensation

The Associate Photographer position is hourly plus bonus-eligible. The bonuses are paid on a monthly cycle and are based on your performance against pre-determined performance metrics. This is an hourly role with a pay amount of $50,000 annually, with opportunity for monthly bonuses.
