About the Role

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for our National Branch. In this frontline role, you'll build customer relationships by supporting everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. You'll learn about customers' goals and connect them to banking products, services, and digital tools to help manage their finances. The role involves account openings, service requests, credit applications, and collaboration with branch teammates to deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience. Success requires strong relationship-building, sound judgment, and balancing service with growth. This role provides a foundation for long-term career growth with Wells Fargo's training and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Build lasting customer relationships through proactive, meaningful conversations supporting financial well-being and engagement
• Lead discovery-driven conversations to understand customer needs and connect them with relevant banking products and solutions
• Drive branch growth by identifying opportunities, promoting solutions, and making appropriate referrals
• Support everyday banking needs, including new account openings, service requests, and credit applications
• Perform cash handling and teller line activities, accurately processing transactions while maintaining compliance
• Demonstrate comfort using and adopting digital tools to enhance the customer experience
• Deliver accurate, compliant service while exercising sound judgment within defined risk controls
• Collaborate with branch teammates to coordinate seamless handoffs to licensed bankers or specialists

Requirements

• 6+ months of customer interaction experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, training, military experience, or education

Qualifications

• Prior experience in financial services or a highly regulated, customer-facing role
• Experience building trust-based customer relationships through active listening and consistent engagement
• Comfort initiating outreach (calls, emails, or other channels) to strengthen relationships and identify customer needs
• Demonstrated comfort with digital tools and technology, with the ability to quickly learn new systems
• Ability to identify customer needs and connect them to appropriate solutions, including referrals
• Proven ability to collaborate with teammates to resolve needs and deliver a seamless customer experience
• Demonstrated ability to follow policies and regulations while identifying and escalating risk concerns

Job Expectations

• Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays
• Support branch operations by flexing between cash handling and customer banking activities
• SAFE registration required at the time of employment (Wells Fargo will initiate the process after your start date)
• Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and comply with Wells Fargo policies, including financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background standards
• Full-time training for 8-10 weeks (Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM)

Pay

$23.00 - $31.00 per hour. Pay may vary based on performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
