Key Responsibilities
- Utilize Siemens/Mentor PADS Designer and Layout software, plus AutoCAD mechanical software.
- Create and maintain schematic symbols for ECAD libraries using component vendor data sheets.
- Create and maintain copper pad footprints, solder mask, and solder paste patterns for ECAD libraries, referencing vendor data sheets, IPC standards, and internal design guidelines.
- Develop ECAD footprints for PCB designers.
- Ensure all fabrication, manufacturing, and assembly requirements are met.
- Review drawings and data sheets for dimensional requirements.
Required Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Siemens/Mentor PADS Designer and Layout software.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD mechanical software.
- Knowledge of ECAD library management.
- Familiarity with SMT and through-hole electronic components and packages for PCB assemblies.
- Understanding of mechanical dimensioning and tolerancing.
Required Functional Skills
- Ability to reference component vendor data sheets, IPC standards, and design guidelines.
- Skill in reviewing drawings for dimensional accuracy.
- Working knowledge of PLM tools (e.g., Agile, Teamcenter).
