Associate PCB Parts Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize Siemens/Mentor PADS Designer and Layout software, plus AutoCAD mechanical software.
• Create and maintain schematic symbols for ECAD libraries using component vendor data sheets.
• Create and maintain copper pad footprints, solder mask, and solder paste patterns for ECAD libraries, referencing vendor data sheets, IPC standards, and internal design guidelines.
• Develop ECAD footprints for PCB designers.
• Ensure all fabrication, manufacturing, and assembly requirements are met.
• Review drawings and data sheets for dimensional requirements.

Required Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Siemens/Mentor PADS Designer and Layout software.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD mechanical software.
• Knowledge of ECAD library management.
• Familiarity with SMT and through-hole electronic components and packages for PCB assemblies.
• Understanding of mechanical dimensioning and tolerancing.

Required Functional Skills

• Ability to reference component vendor data sheets, IPC standards, and design guidelines.
• Skill in reviewing drawings for dimensional accuracy.
• Working knowledge of PLM tools (e.g., Agile, Teamcenter).
