Associate or Full Professor of Epidemiology

About the role

The Department of Epidemiology at the University of Florida is recruiting one (1) full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month tenure-track faculty member at the Associate or Professor level.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, mentoring, and research conducted in a dynamic academic health center environment.
• Be principal investigator of extramurally funded research projects.
• Contribute collaboratively with other faculty.
• Teach in the epidemiology and public health programs.
• Contribute to service through student mentorship and committee service.

Requirements

• A doctoral degree in epidemiology or a related field.

Qualifications

• Commitment to excellence in teaching, mentoring, and research.
• Experience in chronic disease epidemiology (e.g., cardiovascular, pulmonary, cancer, aging, obesity/metabolism).
• Experience in clinical epidemiology.

Skills

• Strong research skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
