About the role
The Department of Epidemiology at the University of Florida is recruiting one (1) full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month tenure-track faculty member at the Associate or Professor level.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, mentoring, and research conducted in a dynamic academic health center environment.
- Be principal investigator of extramurally funded research projects.
- Contribute collaboratively with other faculty.
- Teach in the epidemiology and public health programs.
- Contribute to service through student mentorship and committee service.
Requirements
- A doctoral degree in epidemiology or a related field.
Qualifications
- Commitment to excellence in teaching, mentoring, and research.
- Experience in chronic disease epidemiology (e.g., cardiovascular, pulmonary, cancer, aging, obesity/metabolism).
- Experience in clinical epidemiology.
Skills
- Strong research skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
