About the role

The Northwestern University Department of Economics anticipates filling a full-time opening at the rank of Associate or Full Professor beginning September 1, 2027. The primary focus of the search is in Applied Microeconomics or Macroeconomics.

Pay

This is an open rank search with a nine-month academic appointment. The expected base pay range by rank is as follows:

  • Associate Professor: $250,000 - $325,000
  • Professor: $325,000 - $500,000

This range does not include summer salary and is subject to negotiation. The final pay offered will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, internal comparators, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
