About the role

An Independent Doctor of Optometry affiliated with Target Optical (Luxottica) seeks an Associate Optometrist. You will work within the practice of a Target Optical Subleasing Optometrist as an employee or contracted doctor.

Responsibilities

- Provide high quality optometric care and service to patients. - Work within the practice of a Target Optical Subleasing Optometrist. - Operate under the professional autonomy to care for patients. - Practice with full scope of optometry based on professional discretion and agreement with the Subleasing Doctor. - Negotiate terms of agreement, practice model, pay, and hours directly with the Subleasing Doctor. - Offer flexible scheduling options including part-time commitments or adding work to an existing practice schedule. - Work in a fully furnished office equipped with a full suite of OD equipment. - Utilize optional Revolution EHR software and benefit from tech and pre-testing support. - Access an automated online appointment book and patient recall system.

Requirements

- Hold a current license to practice optometry in North Carolina. - Possess a strong understanding of optometric principles and practices. - Have experience in providing comprehensive eye examinations and prescribing corrective lenses. - Be able to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. - Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to ethical standards.

Qualifications

- Completion of an accredited optometry program. - Completion of an approved residency program (optional but preferred). - Experience working in an independent practice setting.

Skills

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EHR) systems. - Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks. - Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
