Associate Optometrist- Totowa, NJ- next door to LensCrafters

An Independent Doctor of Optometry affiliated with LensCrafters (Luxottica) seeks an Associate Optometrist.

About the role

You will work within the practice of a LensCrafters Subleasing Optometrist as an employee or contracted doctor. As a private Independent practice, Luxottica operates the optical dispensary while the Affiliated Doctor operates the Doctors office and provides high quality optometric care and service to patients.

Responsibilities

• Work as an Associate Doctor of Optometry within the practice
• Negotiate terms of agreement, practice model, pay and hours directly with the Subleasing doctor
• Care for patients with professional autonomy and full scope of practice
• Utilize latest digital eye examination technology such as Clarifye
• Work in a fully furnished office with a full suite of OD equipment
• Have access to automated online appointment booking and patient recall system

Requirements

• Active Doctor of Optometry license
• Experience in independent practice preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited program
• Current licensure to practice optometry in the state where you will be working
• Passing scores on the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO)

• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload
• Knowledge of digital eye examination technology

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. Schedule

Flexible scheduling available including part-time commitments or the option to add work to an existing practice schedule.
