About the role

The position involves working within the practice of a LensCrafters Subleasing Optometrist as an employee or contracted doctor. As an Associate Optometrist, you will work under the supervision of the Subleasing Doctor and provide comprehensive optometric care to patients.

Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive eye examinations and prescribe appropriate lenses and eyewear based on patient needs. - Perform routine eye exams and diagnose and treat common eye conditions. - Prescribe medications and manage chronic eye diseases. - Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. - Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues to ensure optimal patient care. - Participate in continuing education programs to maintain and enhance professional skills.

Requirements

- Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited program. - Current Florida Optometry License. - Completion of an ABOG residency program preferred but not required. - Experience in primary eye care and prescribing of corrective lenses. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
