Associate Operations Counsel

About the role

For our client, we are seeking an Associate Operations Counsel to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space. This role will provide practical legal guidance to operational teams supporting business objectives in a highly regulated environment. The Associate Operations Counsel will help ensure legal and regulatory compliance, partner closely with Compliance, and support the development of contracts, policies, and forms used in day-to-day operations. The position also involves monitoring legal and regulatory developments and communicating key updates to leadership. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective legal support to facilitate business objectives
• Deliver practical and timely legal counsel to assigned divisions
• Collaborate with the Compliance Department to ensure compliance with applicable laws
• Draft contracts, policies, and operational product forms
• Interface with regulatory authorities as needed
• Report legal and regulatory changes to management

Qualifications

• Law degree required
• Admitted to practice law in the US
• 1-3 years of professional experience in a legal specialization
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing
• Knowledge of mortgage servicing and origination regulations
• Familiarity with Federal and State laws
• Strong legal research and communication skills
• Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

Pay

Compensation: $112,400 – $149,800 annually
