About the role

The Associate Nurse Manager role supports the Nurse Manager in overseeing day-to-day nursing operations, including staff supervision, patient care coordination, and adherence to clinical and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Mentor nursing staff
• Address patient and family concerns
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational policies
• Participate in staff education
• Support orientation of new team members
• Contribute to initiatives enhancing patient outcomes and overall patient experience

Requirements

• Demonstrated clinical nursing expertise in an acute or relevant care setting
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient care skills
• Proven leadership abilities, including staff supervision, team coordination, conflict resolution, and mentoring of nursing personnel
• Solid knowledge of nursing standards, patient safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, supporting patients and families, and documenting care accurately
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida (or eligibility to obtain), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced certifications (e.g., ACLS, specialty certifications) are preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred; an associate degree in nursing with relevant experience may be considered
• Prior charge nurse or supervisory experience is highly beneficial

• Willingness to work on-site with flexibility for shift assignments, weekends, and holidays as required by patient needs
