About the Role
The selected candidate will join two advanced practice providers and one podiatrist.
This position includes administrative opportunities as well.
The selected candidate will serve as the Associate Medical Director for the Maine Medical Center – Biddeford and Sanford (MMCBS) program providing vital direction and oversight to inpatient and outpatient wound care services being provided at MMCBS locations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Associate Medical Director for the MMCBS program providing vital direction and oversight to inpatient and outpatient wound care services being provided at MMCBS locations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive wound care services.
- Oversee the implementation and evaluation of wound care protocols and procedures.
- Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to staff members.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of the wound care program’s policies and procedures.
- Assist in the coordination of care between inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives related to wound care.
Requirements
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school OR successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate program
- Board Certified preferred/Board Eligible for the right candidate
- Fellowship-trained preferred
- Two or more years of experience in the field preferred
- Prior experience with hyperbaric oxygen is preferred
