Responsibilities
- Collaborates with physician, nursing, and administrative leadership to support system objectives.
- Develops and implements quality improvement goals and objectives aligned with WellSpan Health strategy.
- Serves as a mentor and role model for all members of the department.
- Conducts annual performance evaluations for all clinicians.
- Recruits and retains physicians and advanced practitioners.
- Participates as an active member of the WellSpan Hospitalist’s Leadership Executive Committee.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
- Experience: 5 years of experience in healthcare, with 2 years of experience in a leadership role preferred.
- Licenses: Board certified in a clinical area upon hire.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, verbal and written skills, tact and diplomacy; strong project and change management skills, critical thinking, conceptual thinking, and decision-making skills; knowledge of health care issues and process improvement concepts.
