About the role
The Associate Medical Director of Enterprise Occupational Health at Cleveland Clinic provides direct Occupational Health clinical and consultation services for internal caregivers and external clients, ensuring quality and safety of care, cost efficiency, and the best patient experience possible. They serve as backup to the Medical Director, Occupational Health, as needed and participate in annual business planning and ongoing client relations.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, regular, and consistent clinical care for Workers’ Compensation injury care, specialty physicals (e.g., D.O.T.), and medical surveillance.
- Review and consult on positive drug tests, as requested.
- Partner with other department leaders to develop and monitor business plans.
- Work directly with company contacts as needed, including occupational health consulting and advisories.
- Review and address appeals related to vaccine exemptions and drug test results.
- Ensure patient and client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Board-certified in Primary Care or Emergency Medicine, with preference for Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
- At least 3 years of post-residency experience in Occupational Health and leadership over clinical teams.
- Knowledgeable in federal and state regulations relating to Medical Center Occupational Health.
- Preference for Certified Medical Review Officer (MRO) certification.
Qualifications
- Must be board-certified in Primary Care or Emergency Medicine, with preference for Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

Pay
Minimum salary: $261,500
Maximum salary: $394,750
