About the role
Join us as an Associate Medical Director, Clinical Science, GI2 TAU in our Cambridge, MA office. At Takeda, we transform the pharmaceutical industry through innovation and a patient-focused approach. This role represents Clinical Science on Project or Clinical Teams and supports the Global Project Team to ensure alignment with the global strategy.
Responsibilities
- Represents Clinical Science on Project or Clinical Teams and may serve as the Clinical Science leader on these teams
- Serves as an advisor to other clinical scientists involved in the preparation/ approval of Synopses, Protocols and the conduct of clinical studies
- Oversees Clinical Science department activities relating to the preparation/ approval of Synopses, Protocols and the conduct of clinical studies
- Directs interactions with key opinion leaders relevant to assigned compounds and therapeutic area
- Interprets data from an overall scientific standpoint as well as within the context of the medical significance to individual patients
- Manages and mentors staff to support assigned activities
Requirements
- MD or internationally recognized equivalent plus 3 years of clinical research experience within the pharmaceutical industry, CRO health-related consulting company, or biomedical/clinical experience within academia (or a combination of afore mentioned)
- Subspecialty in Hepatology or Immunology highly preferred
- Experience and knowledge of alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency a plus
- Phase 3 Clinical Trial experience preferred
- Previous experience successfully leading matrix teams preferred
- Management experience preferred

- Emerging research in designated therapeutic area

Pay
$198,500.00 - $311,850.00
