About the role

The Associate Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned patients. Basic patient care needs will be met through both administrative and clinical duties.

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed practitioners with patient care activities
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed
  • Collect and record patient data accurately
  • Prepare examination rooms and equipment
  • Manage patient scheduling and appointment coordination
  • Handle billing and insurance inquiries
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing and correspondence

Requirements

  • Washington Medical Assistant Registration within 60 days of hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
  • Coursework/Training: Medical Assistant, Medical Office Assistant, Medical Secretary or Health Unit Coordinator/Clerk
  • 6 months medical assisting experience in a clinic setting

Skills

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred.

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

This position is full-time and works a standard day shift schedule.
