Associate, Media Strategy
About the role
Kargo is hiring an Associate, Media Strategy to turn advertiser briefs and RFPs into compelling, insight-driven proposals that help our sales team win. This role sits at the intersection of creative thinking and strategic rigor—responsible for building the pitch materials, learning agendas, and sales collateral that make Kargo's value proposition impossible to ignore. This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence 4 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Build RFP responses that are consistently strong, on-brand, and on-time—reflecting a clear understanding of the advertiser's objectives and requiring minimal rework before going external
- Keep the sales collateral library current and actively used, ensuring pitch decks, one-pagers, and product materials reflect Kargo's latest offerings
- Design research-backed learning agendas—measurement and testing plans—for top-tier clients, positioning Kargo as a thought partner rather than a vendor
- Translate product knowledge into clear, accurate, and compelling sales narratives that front-line teams can use confidently with advertisers
- Proactively develop outbound-ready materials—trend reports, category insights, creative hooks—that give sales new conversation starters without being asked
- Approach each brief with original ideas that connect advertiser goals to Kargo's capabilities in unexpected and compelling ways
- Produce accurate, polished, on-brand work across multiple projects with tight deadlines, catching errors before anything goes external
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in media, advertising, marketing, or a related field, including internship experience
- Advanced PowerPoint and Google Slides skills, with the ability to independently build polished, strategic, visually compelling presentations
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets for data analysis, revenue reporting, and performance tracking
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to craft narratives that connect data to advertiser objectives and translate complex product functionality into language that's simple, credible, and easy to act on
- Working knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem, including online advertising fundamentals and emerging media trends
- A proactive, big-picture mindset—identifying opportunities to create or improve materials without waiting for direction
Preferred
- Familiarity with third-party research vendors
- Experience supporting a sales or client-facing team in a fast-paced media or ad tech environment
