Associate Material Coordinator

About the role

Performs a variety of duties involved in equipment, materials, linens and supplies for an assigned area. Works closely with other team members from supply chain and staff throughout the system to provide exceptional care for our customers. Utilizes a computer-based inventory management system to perform daily functions.

Responsibilities

• Responds to incoming requisitions received via fax, intranet, hardcopy, and telephone from various customers by dispensing inventory supplies and equipment in a timely manner, or order equipment/supplies from a third-party vendor.
• Maintains inventory levels of supplies, materials, equipment, and/or linens. Rotates stock, cleans, and straightens up products to assure a neat and orderly appearance of inventory location and work area.
• Uses a handheld computer or other methods to manage inventory. Transmits or inputs information to the main computer system to record accurate inventory levels.
• Breaks down delivery carts and/or pallets and assembles orders to be delivered to requesting units.
• Delivers products and/or equipment to requesting locations following proper delivery techniques and safety guidelines (cart covers applied when needed, proper stacking, and load securing).
• Removes soiled linen and/or products from nursing units to designated holding areas following universal safety precautions.
• Packs products in totes, boxes, pallets, or carts according to proper packing techniques for delivery. Labels and places delivery orders in assigned areas for shipping or delivery.
• Loads, unloads, and secures heavy cargo for delivery vehicles. May require the use of a forklift or pallet jack.
• Places delivery carts, pallets, totes, or boxes in assigned areas. Unpacks and checks deliveries against purchase orders. Follows up with the Purchasing department on orders without a purchase order. Reports any damaged boxes/products or discrepancies.
• Inputs purchase order and delivery ticket information into the computer to maintain accurate records of materials/supplies received and schedules for delivery. Ensures paperwork and signatures are completed and filed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Supply chain/material management or related experience (Preferred).
• CRT-HI-LO Certification (Preferred, location-dependent).

• Employment Type: Part-time
• Shift: Day (9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)
• Weekly Scheduled Hours: 20
• Days Worked: Monday to Friday
• Weekend Frequency: Variable weekends
