Associate Manufacturing Technician (Weeknight Shift - Onsite)

About the role

The Associate Manufacturing Technician will operate and maintain highly automated and advanced manufacturing equipment to produce our signature product. This individual will be trained and cross-trained across a variety of technologies, including heat staking, laser welding, mechanical swaging, printed circuit board (PCB) handling and testing, robotic automation, metal stamping and bending, form/fill/seal medical packaging, and high-speed discrete component assembly. Responsibilities include equipment operation, maintenance, product quality performance, and basic machine troubleshooting.

This position requires mechanical aptitude, technical ability, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and the willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment operation, basic repair, and minor daily/weekly preventative maintenance tasks to meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards with minimal supervision.
• Maintain machine raw material feeds, clear faults, and resolve stoppages on automated equipment.
• Utilize human machine interfaces (HMIs) to identify and correct shifts in process control.
• Ensure adequate raw material preparation and timely job execution for on-time delivery.
• Execute equipment inspections and generate emergency, corrective, and/or preventative work orders as needed.
• Troubleshoot and identify solutions for minor mechanical errors, safety issues, or operating inefficiencies.
• Support material inventory and quality management processes using computer systems.
• Participate in manufacturing processes for new product design transfer, process development, equipment validations, and process validations.
• Investigate and resolve process issues within assigned equipment cells.
• Perform routine cleaning, inspection, and lubrication of machinery.
• Follow specifications, work orders, and instructions from Production Supervisor/Team Lead.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures for material handling, record keeping, packaging, and shipment preparation, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Notify Team Leader or Production Supervisor of any discrepancies to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Work independently with minimal instruction, demonstrating excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Collaborate in small groups and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain a clean work environment suitable for medical device manufacturing and cleanroom production.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Self-starter capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in English for reading documentation, communication, and writing.
• Keen eye for quality, dependability, and collaborative teamwork with a positive attitude.
• Mechanical aptitude, including knowledge of industrial machines and tools, design, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of production and processing, including raw materials, measurement instruments, quality control, and manufacturing techniques.
• Basic arithmetic skills.
• Problem-solving ability, including root cause analysis techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a cleanroom environment.
• Experience debugging and optimizing assembly processes.
• Experience in a start-up production environment.
• Manufacturing experience in a regulated industry.

Physical Requirements

• Stand for at least 75% of working time per shift, with walking at least 50% of working time.
• Frequent reaching above shoulder and occasional reaching below waist.
• Ability to push and pull.
• Lift up to 20 lbs occasionally and 5–20 lbs frequently.

This is an on-site position requiring work at the office, plant, or lab.

Pay

Annual base salary range for U.S.-based positions: $18.16 – $27.24 per hour. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
