About the role

The Quality Associate Manager plays a critical role in the site leadership team, overseeing quality team operations, policies, and initiatives. They are responsible for maintaining quality certifications, leading a team of engineers and supervisors, and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain AS9100 QMS certification
  • Ensure total product integrity through quality vision, culture, and process improvement
  • Lead and develop a team of Quality Engineers and Inspection Supervisors
  • Oversee incoming material and manufacturing inspections
  • Provide clear direction, coaching, and performance management
  • Mentor and grow team members' skills in continuous improvement
  • Develop, implement, and monitor key quality metrics, systems, and procedures
  • Define quality objectives and functional responsibilities
  • Implement strategies to improve performance, reduce cost of poor quality, and enhance product performance
  • Contribute to quality improvement efforts using a structured continuous improvement approach
  • Oversee customer and supplier quality audit programs
  • Manage customer score cards and warranty returns
  • Interfere with teams to resolve quality issues
  • Work with suppliers and customers to ensure high-quality value stream
  • Collaborate with supply chain to develop and manage supplier metrics
  • Participate in strategic planning and set quality targets
  • Manage the quality organization's budget
  • Interface effectively with customers, cross-functional teams, and executive management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field with 6+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience with a Graduate degree
  • Familiarity with quality standards and requirements such as AS9100, ITAR, and MIL-SPEC
  • Experience in defense/microelectronics manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to contribute to quality improvement efforts
  • Six Sigma / Lean experience preferred
  • Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security level clearance
