About the role
We are seeking a proactive and business-oriented procurement professional to lead strategic sourcing. This role will play a critical part in driving value creation, supplier performance, operational efficiency, and procurement transformation across the organization. The ideal candidate combines strong negotiation and analytical capabilities with the ability to influence stakeholders, build supplier partnerships, and support business growth through strategic procurement practices.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of strategies to evolve procurement into a more strategic function; support initiatives aimed at process simplification, automation, and the adoption of procurement best practices
- Conduct initial analysis of spend data, supplier performance, and procurement trends to identify potential areas for optimization
- Support efforts to increase spend under management and maintain sourcing governance standards
- Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies for assigned indirect procurement categories
- Participate in end-to-end sourcing activities, including assisting with RFIs/RFPs, supporting negotiations, and contributing to supplier selection and contracting processes
- Help identify cost optimization opportunities, ensuring alignment with quality, service, and business continuity requirements
- Contribute to supplier consolidation and spend optimization initiatives under guidance
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships across HQ and North America
- Monitor supplier performance through KPIs, business reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Support the proper implementation and maintenance of contracts, compliance requirements, and procurement governance standards
- Support risk mitigation and supplier sustainability initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and contribute to discussions with leadership teams as a representative of the procurement function
- Prepare data-driven insights and conduct research on market intelligence to support business decision-making
- Support internal teams in aligning purchasing strategies with operational and commercial priorities
- Contribute to fostering innovation and scalability through engagement with suppliers
What you will learn in the first 6 months
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of internal procurement processes, systems, key suppliers, and organizational spend categories
- Become proficient in supporting RFI/RFP processes, basic negotiation tactics, and understanding contract terms and compliance requirements
- Establish working relationships with key internal stakeholders and learn their operational needs and priorities related to procurement
- Develop the ability to independently analyze spend data and supplier performance reports to identify initial trends and opportunities
What you will achieve in 12 months
- Independently lead 1-2 smaller sourcing initiatives from RFI/RFP through supplier selection and contract finalization, delivering measurable value
- Present data-backed recommendations for cost savings or process improvements within assigned categories, leading to actionable insights
- Take ownership of monitoring specific supplier KPIs, conducting regular business reviews, and contributing to continuous improvement plans for key vendors
- Serve as a trusted resource for specific internal business units, effectively addressing their procurement needs and aligning purchasing activities with their objectives
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or related field, ideally in the beauty industry
- Strong analytical mindset with advanced data analysis capabilities
- Ability to transform complex spend data into actionable business insights
- Experience with procurement reporting tools, ERP systems, and data visualization platforms is preferred
- Advanced Excel skills required; similar analytics tools strongly preferred
- Able to build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally through strong written and verbal communication
- The ability to work with integrity, a sense of trust, and high level of motivation
Physical requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position on average of 7.5 hours/day
- Light to moderate lifting may be required
- While performing duties, may be regularly required to stand, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, and operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard
