About the role

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an Associate Manager to join our Scheduling & Material Planning Center of Excellence in our Canoga Park, California facility. At this facility, we design & manufacture rocket engines and unique power systems that support space exploration & the defense of our nation. In this role, you will manage the Load Analyst and Product Liaison teams, which facilitate the flow of work through our factory.

Responsibilities

  • Managing Salary Employees (60%)
    • Direct daily work assignments to meet quality, cost, and schedule commitments.
    • Maintain employee training and critical skills.
    • Mentor and support employees on career growth.
    • Approve timecards and manage labor charging to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support Process Improvement Initiatives (25%)
    • Drive process improvement projects to achieve greater efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability with a focus on reduced costs and improved quality.
  • Support & Drive Safety (10%)
    • Identify, report, and eliminate unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
    • Work with your teams to implement safety improvements and drive a culture that promotes a safe environment.
  • Support Site Audits (5%)
    • Support internal and external audits.
    • Drive root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective action on any findings.

Overtime may be required. Minimal to no travel required for this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 6 years prior manufacturing experience.
  • Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior manufacturing experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior manufacturing experience.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Familiarity with L3 Harris LA Site Programs and Manufacturing processes.
  • Intermediate MS Excel skill level.
  • Knowledge and experience with Oracle ERP and Delmia MES systems, including transactions and extracting data for analysis.

Pay

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in the State of California is $79,000 – $147,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
