Responsibilities

• Lead, complete, and review the most complex accounting duties in a timely and accurate manner.
• Impact many areas of the company through your judgement and decisions.
• Be the subject matter expert with breadth and depth of knowledge in accounting concepts, financial reporting rules, industry practices, and company policies and procedures.
• Lead a team of accountants responsible for debt and equity accounting, corporate accruals, and consolidation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or related field of study (e.g., Finance).
• A minimum of six years accounting experience, with at least four years in a specialized area (e.g. reinsurance, investments), financial reporting, or public accounting experience.

Preferred Skills

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with GAAP reporting and accounting/financial tools.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and people management experience; ability to ensure high caliber work of accounting staff.
• Excellent communication, public speaking, presentation, and project management skills.
• Ability to identify and communicate accounting issues to upper-level management in a timely and concise manner.

• Compensation: $89,600 - $119,500/year
