Associate Manager, Digital Identity
About the role
Avanade’s Digital Identity capability helps clients modernize identity and access management using Microsoft Entra ID. This role sits within Avanade’s Security and Infrastructure practices, collaborating with client IT and security teams to deliver identity solutions that align with business and security outcomes.
The Digital Identity Consultant (Entra ID) designs, implements, and supports modern identity solutions using Microsoft Entra ID, helping clients strengthen security, improve user experience, and modernize authentication and access patterns. This client-facing role requires strong technical expertise combined with consulting and communication skills, contributing to delivery excellence and supporting Avanade’s identity practice growth.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Microsoft Entra ID solutions, including:
- Single Sign On (SSO)
- Conditional Access
- Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
- Identity Governance and Access Reviews
- Lead IAM lifecycle processes such as joiner–mover–leaver (JML) automation, provisioning, and deprovisioning.
- Support hybrid identity scenarios, including Entra ID Connect / hybrid sync and application provisioning (SCIM).
- Contribute to or lead Zero Trust identity architectures integrating Entra ID with broader Microsoft Security capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- 6+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management or cybersecurity, including leadership of delivery workstreams or projects.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, and identity governance.
Skills
Preferred certifications:
- SC 300 (Identity and Access Administrator)
- SC 100 (Cybersecurity Architect)
- SC 900 (Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals)
- Additional IAM or security certifications (e.g., CISSP, vendor IGA tools) are a plus.
Pay
Annual salary ranges by location:
- California: $136,000 to $161,500
- Cleveland: $117,600 to $139,550
- Colorado: $117,600 to $139,550
- District of Columbia: $136,000 to $161,500
- Illinois: $131,200 to $155,800
- Maine: $117,600 to $139,550
- Maryland: $136,000 to $161,500
- Massachusetts: $136,000 to $161,500
- Minnesota: $131,200 to $155,800
- New York: $144,000 to $171,000
- New Jersey: $131,200 to $155,800
- Virginia: $117,600 to $139,550
- Washington: $136,000 to $161,500
