Associate Machine Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate machinery, power tools, and assembly equipment to manufacture doors according to production schedules.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications to ensure proper materials, measurements, and finishes.
• Inspect parts and finished products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor equipment adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Handle and move raw materials, door slabs, frames, and hardware using appropriate lifting techniques or equipment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
• Document production data, quality checks, and material usage as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, woodworking, or construction environment preferred. Experience with doors, windows, or millwork production is a plus.
• Skills & Abilities: Ability to read and understand work orders, blueprints, and measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.). Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools. Attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Team-oriented with good communication and problem-solving skills. Basic computer and data entry skills preferred.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) required, including safety toed shoes, safety glasses, ear protection, and gloves.
• May require occasional overtime or weekend work to meet production demands.
